Call for Artist Members 2019

We want new members

Eugene Contemporary Art is taking a big step and opening a location in downtown Eugene. This new space will host exhibitions, screenings and performances, workshops and other educational initiatives. It will also anchor our media production, which includes our podcast Bottleracks & Fountains, as well as critical art writing published on our website. As part of this expansion, we are inviting applications to our open call for artist members.

You are the best art.
Trophallacy by Vicki Amorose, 2018, trophy, thorns, probably some blood.

ECA was founded in 2011 to highlight art and events that were happening around town. Today, our mission is to support artists and their creative practices by facilitating publicly accessible dialogue around contemporary art: its process, production, meaning, and its place within culture.

Artist members will be involved in running the space and developing the organization within the scope of our mission. This is a volunteer position and members can look forward to being included in one exhibition per year, as well as a supportive community for their art practice.
