BoFo Live Sessions at Visual Arts Week 2019

Our podcast Bottleracks & Fountains is participating in this year’s Visual Arts Festival. We are hosting a live session with a studio audience for a panel discussion on “Art and Built Spaces”:

Walls, plazas and empty storefronts are all potential spaces for art, each with its own possibilities and limitations. For this live recording of Eugene Contemporary Art’s podcast Bottleracks & Fountains, we have invited local professionals in architecture, art, and urban planning, to talk about the intersections of art and architecture in public and private spaces, and how our built environment affects a community’s cultural life.

Visual Art Week

Visual Arts Week (VAW) celebrates the visual arts by bringing together hundreds of local, regional, national and international artists through multiple visual platforms: gallery, contemporary and street art. Our vision is to celebrate and give visibility to the visual arts community by providing a platform for experimentation, creativity, and dialogue that strengthens our community’s quality of life and social well-being.

VAW features new 20×21 EUG Mural Project walls (walls painted Sat. July 27 – August 3), the Mayor’s Art Show, BRIDGE Exhibitions, pop-up experiences, artist talks, workshops, studio tours and local gallery experiences. For more information: http://bit.ly/VisualArtsWeek

August 7th, at 7pm.
